In order to support this growth, Conductor seeks an energetic, entrepreneurial and effective Director of Agency Development.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Director, Agency Development will be primarily responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding the customer base by leveraging key relationships with Search Engine Optimization and Marketing (Agencies) firms. This person will work at the NYC headquarters and will establish and foster strong business relationships with the most reputable Agencies in order to sell and deliver the Conductor offering to the Agencies' customer base. The Director of Agency Development must have deep knowledge of the Conductor offering and be effective at selling the benefits and ROI to the Agencies and their customers. He/She will be an excellent communicator and able to train Agency partners on how the Conductor offering and can compliment its own offering and improve the natural search results for the Agency's customers. This person will also establish client services teams and the necessary reporting mechanism to support both the Agency and its customers.

 

Specific Responsibilities

The Director of Agency Development will:

  • Work with the executive team to set and hone an effective SEO/SEM (Agency) strategy to include prospecting, pricing and volume forecasting
  • Establish relationships with key SEOs and SEMs
  • Drive revenue and expand the customer base through the Agency channel
  • Set processes and performance metrics for the Agency strategy
  • Build a client services capability that focuses on the issues specific to the Agency partners
  • Work closely with the sales and product teams to provide useful end user product feedback
  • Hold Agency partners accountable to performance expectations

Required Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 6+ years in a partner or channel sales role with an Internet or digital media company
  • 3+ years of experience working with or within Search Engine Optimization or Search Engine Marketing firm
  • Substantial knowledge of Search industry
  • A track record of developing strong, effective strategic partnerships that led to substantial revenue growth
  • Be able to communicate equally well with partners, end users and internal staff ensure seamless product delivery
  • Demonstrated the ability to train partners on how to best articulate the value proposition to their customer base

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline is required. An MBA is preferred.
