Open Web Foundation Officially Launches

David Recordon, of Six Apart, announced the launch of the Open Web Foundation today at the OSCON conference. The Open Web Foundation was created to offer a place for the development and ratification of web-related standard efforts. Currently, other than a very strong backing, including Facebook, Google, Myspace, Six Apart and Plaxo, there is not much more to Open Web. The foundation hopes within the next few months it will be announcing their first set of work on data standards and formats.
