To support our Cutsomer and Business Engineering Team, we are looking for a new:
(Senior) Software Data Engineer (m/f/d)
(Hybrid in Berlin or remote in Germany/ Full-time/ Permanent Contract)
Your Tasks:
- Design and implement data storage structures and scalable, distributed ETL pipelines to bring disparate data sources into a unified data lake
- Monitor Data Pipelines and ETL processes to proactively address any issues and ensure predictable delivery of data assets
- Develop and enhance internal reporting platform
- Partner with Data Analysts and Data Scientists to define data models to support reporting and dashboards to track KPIs that drive business decisions
- Partner with stakeholders from across the organization, including Engineering, Product, CS, Sales and Marketing, to understand data requirements and business objectives
- Develop and design procedures, systems and measurement tools to improve business processes
- Identify and improve upon current internal processes through automation and optimization
- Help the organization grow and scale by enhancing customer engagement, understanding customer behavior and automating user outreach
Your Profile:
- Completed studies in Computer Science, Mathematics, engineering or a related field or equivalent professional experience
- 5 years of experience in a data engineering role
- Strong proficiency with Python; familiarity with Go, Java, Scala or similar language is a bonus
- Strong Proficiency with SQL and Database technologies
- Strong Proficiency with APIs and data transformations
- Experience with AI/ML techniques
- Proficiency with Data Quality/Quality Assurance
- Proficiency with Cloud computing technologies: AWS (S3, SQS, EC2, Athena, etc.), Google Cloud Platform, etc.
- Proficiency with modern containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Familiarity with technologies such as Spark, Kafka, etc.
- Analytical, proactive, structural and implementation-oriented thinking, combined with a solution- and goal-oriented hands-on personality, who is comfortable working across stacks in an organization without silos and taking ownership of end-to-end problem-solving.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly articulate your work to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
