Acronym was founded over two decades ago by Anton Konikoff, a Russian business student who became obsessed with how consumers would find companies on the Internet – and what that meant for marketers. Then along came Google.
When we started out, our tagline was, Keyword=Customer, because keywords were the closest proxy for consumer intent in search. In fact, the name Acronym is itself a nod to keywords.
Acronym still believes search is the quintessential marketing channel because consumers use it to tell us precisely what they want. Now, however, it’s not just keywords, but data analysis and AI-based technologies, which allow us to understand consumer intent, personalize messaging and inform content strategies with in-house tools like Keyword Objects and ContentGo, and partnerships with leading analytics platforms. It’s Keywords to Customers.
Based on the 65th floor of the Empire State Building, Acronym is an award-winning global search marketing agency. We also have offices in London, Singapore, Beijing, and Toronto.
