Sr. Growth Engineer (Website & AI SEO)

Conductor is a leading Website Optimization & Intelligence platform. Today’s top brands use Conductor to create and optimize digital experiences that get found organically in search engines and drive value for customers. The platform provides actionable SEO, content, and technical website intelligence—paired with real-time website monitoring—to help customers accelerate and protect digital growth.

We are a mission-driven company committed to innovation, customer success, and culture. At Conductor, success means improving the lives of everyone in our orbit: our customers, their customers, our employee-owners, and our communities.

About the Role:

Conductor’s website is our single largest growth lever. Search is evolving—from classic 10-blue-links to AI overviews, answer engines, and LLM-powered assistants—and we intend to lead that shift. You will own the technical stack and play a key role in shaping our technical growth roadmap of Conductor.com and related tools, ensuring our content is not only discoverable by Google and Bing, but also surfaced by AI search experiences (SGE, Perplexity, Claude, ChatGPT Browse, etc.). If you live at the intersection of full-stack engineering, technical SEO, and data-driven growth, we’d love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and optimize the Conductor.com web platform—deliver blazingly fast performance, airtight security, stable CI/CD, top-tier Core Web Vitals using Vercel and Cloudflare edge infrastructure.

  • Lead AI-first technical SEO—deploy schema, structured sitemaps, and crawler directives; run proactive monitoring to boost visibility in AI results and catch indexation issues early.

  • Partner with Product—create a frictionless path from site visit to in-product onboarding, fully aligned with our product-led growth initiatives.

  • Prototype and ship growth experiments—build, launch, and analyze Optimizely or custom A/B and multivariate tests to drive traffic, engagement, and conversion improvements.

  • Build and maintain high-performance UIs—develop responsive, accessible React/Next.js interfaces, data visualizations, and reusable components aligned with our design system and CMS integrations.

  • Administer and scale the Sanity CMS—manage permissions, streamline content workflows, and build reusable components so marketing, design, and PM teams can self-serve at scale.

  • Build generative-AI content pipelines—integrate LLM APIs with Sanity to generate, QA, and prune on-brand content efficiently and compliantly.

  • Own data instrumentation and integrations—maintain GA4, Tag Manager, BigQuery, and server-log ingestion to provide actionable insights and validate experiment results.

  • Lead site migrations and redirect strategy—plan and execute subdomain consolidations, navigation refactors, and large-scale redirect clean-ups with QA and canonical oversight.

  • Develop internal tooling and automation—create APIs or scripts to enforce non-index defaults, validate Marketo form IDs, standardize image metadata, and keep CTAs consistent.

  • Mentor engineers and champion best practices—foster pair programming, documentation, and a culture of experimentation within the Growth pod.

  • Continuously explore web and AI-search standards—research new technology and translate findings into roadmap priorities and stakeholder guidance.

  • Ensure website data security and compliance—uphold enterprise-grade standards including SOC 2 and ISO 27001, manage SSL lifecycle, access controls, and GDPR/global privacy across our global footprint.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack web development, technical SEO, and growth engineering for high-traffic B2B/SaaS websites
  • Proficient in React, Next.js, and TypeScript; experienced in SSR, static generation, and deployment in serverless/edge environments (Vercel)
  • Skilled in HTML, CSS (SASS/SCSS), and modern JavaScript; strong understanding of accessibility standards and implementation
  • Experience integrating headless CMS (esp. Sanity), building reusable components and performant front-end architectures
  • Proficient with automated testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright)
  • Strong analytics and experimentation experience (GA4, BigQuery, GTM, Optimizely) and log-based SEO monitoring

  • Comfortable scripting with TypeScript/Python to automate internal tools and enforce technical standards (e.g., metadata, form validation)
  • Proven success with large-scale site migrations, URL restructuring, and canonical/redirect QA
